A cruise ship in a class of her own for Aqualift
The huge cruise ship has capacity for 4,200 passengers, in 2,109 cabins. Norwegian Cruise Line decided to install an Aqualift movable pool floor on the seven-deck ship to be able to put on really impressive shows.
With no limits on the movable floor pool that can be designed and built, the Liberty range can be adapted to meet any site requirements. That makes even the wildest architectural projects possible, even for pools bigger than 50 square metres. The Liberty range is a wonder of modern technology and is used on this cruise ship to create an amazing visual experience for the passengers.
Epic is recognised as being one of the largest cruise ships ever built in Saint Nazaire. It is the cruise ship that surpasses all others: 330 metres length-over-all and 40 metres max. beam, 19 decks, 14 restaurants and 18 bars all in radically different styles. The theatre seats 670 people on two levels. Passengers can wrap up warm for a drink in the Ice Bar, a bar made entirely out of ice just like in Scandinavia.
The innovations don’t stop there: the outdoors Aqua Park on Deck 17 boasts the first bowl slide on a ship and… an Aqualift movable pool floor!
